I purchased this along with an external USB - SATA drive caddy to create something that effectively works in a manner similar to that of a large capacity external flash drive - but faster! Much, much faster!

This drive arrived very quickly from Pixmania. It was a five minute job to fit in an HP-2133 netbook and installing operating system was quick and without problems. I have found the netbook is running cooler and is slightly faster but not as much improvement as suggested in other reviews (that may be down to the fact that the 2133 has a 1.2 ghz processor though). It has made loading programmes quicker though - and there is no noise at all from the netbook except when the machine has been on for a considerable time and the fan cuts in - doubt if that is the ssd drive causing that though. I would recommend this product for the lower end of the netbook market as there is a performance gain. |
