Building on the features of its predecessor, the HDR-HC9 has a glossy black design and records Full HD videos in 1080i mode. It also takes photos in resolutions of 6 megapixels and stores them on memory cards. The HDR-HC9 comes with a 3.2-megapixel ClearVid CMOS sensor and a Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T lens for detailed, clear images that are filled with colour and depth, and has a full range of handy functions such as spot metering and spot focus, so you can apply your desired effects or backgrounds. The HDR-HC9 is also equipped with an image stabiliser and a light sensitivity of 0 lux in Super NightShot mode, so you can film beautiful footage even when it&rsquos dark. The HDR-HC9 has DV inputs/outputs and an HDMI socket, as well as a USB port, so you can hook up external devices and enjoy admiring your creations on larger screens.
