This drive has transformed my day to day computing experience on my mid 2010 Macbook Pro. From being generally slow and annoying to lightening fast. It now takes only 16 seconds to start up and shut down is virtually instantaneous. Lack of fan noise from laptop and noticeably cooler base in operation are other benefits! No problems installing (as long as you have the right screw drivers) and a clean install of Lion works just fine.
