However, one risk factor that motorists rarely think about is themselves! Even if you obey all road safety rules, you are still not protected from the possibly disastrous consequences of another person's carelessness or drowsiness. That's where Guideo by Valeo can help.

Guideo is a camera module placed under the rear-view mirror facing the road, which constantly supervises four driving assistance functions. The "Lane Alert" function is automatically activated if you accidentally cross a white line and keeps you from going off the road. The "Optilane" function helps you stay straight in your lane and warns you if you go off track. The "Video Box" function films the road in case of a sudden change in speed, allowing you to view all possible accident causes. The "Beep & Watch" function indicates any movement in front of your vehicle, helping you during traffic jams.

The Guideo system is automatic and switches on as soon as you start your vehicle. It even works in low lighting conditions, and a vocal guidance feature guides you throughout your journey. Visual alerts warn you when the different functions are activated. Finally, Guideo informs you of your travel time, and advises you when to take breaks. You can also adjust or deactivate each function using the remote control provided.

The system comes with a remote control, connection cables, a USB cable and a CD-ROM to use the Video Box Manager software.
