The VAIO VGN-AR71E from Sony is without a doubt the smartest laptop around. It includes an Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 processor clocked at 1.67 GHz and 3 GB of RAM, as well as Window Vista and an NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GT graphics card, enhancing the quality of graphics in the latest video games and providing greater fluidity when you?re using multiple computer applications.
The VGN-AR71E has an impressive 17-inch X-Black screen, with resolutions going all the way up to 1440 x 900 pixels, and a host of storage solutions, including a 250 GB hard drive, a dual-layer DVD writer and a slot for Memory Stick cards. As far as connectivity is concerned, the VGN-AR71E has a Firewire socket and three USB 2.0 ports, so you can hook up external devices. It?s WiFi-compatible, meaning you can surf the internet in complete freedom, and it has a built-in 1.3-megapixel webcam for video chats.
