The compact HVR-Z1E is Sony's answer to the rapid increase in demand for High Definition (HD) production and post production material. The unique body of the HVR-Z1E is truly practical and houses a range of different functions that will give free reign to your creativity.
The HVR-A1E is fitted with 3 CDD HD 1080i sensors in 16:9 format and over one million effective pixels for 1440 x 1080 resolution using “spatial offset” technology and interlaced line scanning. It is also equipped with a high-precision 14-bit HD DXP processor guaranteeing 14 bit A/N conversion. The HVR-Z1E ‘s high definition Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T lens with 12x optical zoom guarantees exceptional high definition pictures without a trace of chromatic aberration!
The versatile HVR-Z1E allows you to switch between HDV 1080i, DVCAM and DV recording modes offering you more flexibility so you can take videos in SD or HD depending on your needs.
Its complete connectivity allows you to use the camcorder with any kind of electronic device, making it easy to transfer and touch up your footage. The 4-pin i.LINK interface lets you transfer digital audio or video command signals to a VCR or non-linear editing system in HDV, DVCAM and DV formats.
With over 40 professional functions and a number of included accessories, the HVR-Z1E is specifically designed for video applications and High Definition productions.
