This powerful Pentax Smc DA 17-70 mm f/4 AL (IF) SDM Lens is surprisingly light and discreet, considering it rolls a whole load of fixed-focus lenses into one smart tool.

The sharpness, colour and contrast of this zoom lens certainly live up to the brand's long-established reputation in the world of photography. The autofocus is powered by an ultrasonic motor, which ensures a silent, instant focus, and the aspherical lens reduces chromatic aberration.

Its focal range of 17-70mm f/4, equivalent to a film camera range of 26-107 mm, allows you to capture all kinds of different objects, whether at close range or off in the distance. Unlike many other lenses, its f/4 aperture remains constant no matter what focal length is selected. You can therefore use your telephoto lens effectively in low light conditions.
