Very pleased with TX. Was easy to upgrade from previous palm (Tungsten E) although I backed up my user profile 1st. Syncing with wireless router, bluetooth devices and pc is easy (in general) although I did have problems with Hotsyncing after I had created problems with Versamail (Do NOT delete Versamail.prc file from Palm as it is near impossible to reinstall without a hard reset). Palm Desktop and pda OS are both well laid-out and are intuitive to use. Buttons, Stylus and touch screen are nice to use and there are a good range of included software including pocket tunes, Web browser, documents to go and media viewer. It does not include Java (I didn't see it as an option) but it can be easily downloaded. There is a huge range of software that can be downloaded for Palm pdas including many freeware programs. I particularly recomend Mobipocket reader which I prefer to the included ereader and TCPMP for viewing many types of video files.
All in all, I highly recommend the Palm TX, it certainly is the best Palm pda I have used to date. The only let down is occasional problems with hot sync. I recommend closing and reopening Hotsync manager and if necessary a computer rerboot

works brilliantly

touchscreen need callibrating a lot

The palm TX is a very easy to use device and has a lot of useful features. adding a movie to a palm TX seems confusing at first but is is simple when you get used to it. Hotsync is the same and is confusing as to how you sync a diary or an event book but is also fairly simple as you get used to the device. overall it works well and mine has never crashed. menus load fast and are easy to navigate and if you find a problem the help section on the website will solve most problems.

A palm TX is a good buy for £172 and is easily as good as more expensive alternatives.

Brilliant Color screen, there is a lot of support for both Mac and Windows, extremely easy to use.

Some included software is confusing, web browser is slow ad requires a wifi hotspot

Never thought about having a PDA as I was unaware of there capabilities and I thought they were only suitable for business people. Not so! I carry it round in my small handbag, and can show off all my digital photos to family, access my email, check out my documents and files. Play Sudoku to my hearts content, and scribble notes and reminders on it. Its like having my own personal assitant. I love it.

I was going to buy a Laptop so I could access my PC from any were. My son surprised me with a Palm TX as a Xmas gift. It fills all my needs.

Installing all the software and registrations can be time consuming. You have to buy extra software in order to make full use of the Palm TX though.
