Following the success of the HVR-Z7E and HVR-Z1E handheld camcorders, Sony is extending its range of professional camcorders with the HDR-Z5E.

The HDR-Z5E is a real technological innovation and integrates a fixed "G" lens with three individual rings for extra-fast focusing, precise optical settings and smooth zooms. An EXMOR Tri-CMOS sensor ensures improved colour management and image definition. EXMOR technology optimises the sensitivity of the three CMOS sensors in low lighting conditions for 1.5 lux light sensitivity.
These features make this an ideal camcorder for budding budget film and documentary makers.

The HDR-Z5E is also ready to face the high-definition revolution thanks to its hybrid image recording system.
In fact, it can simultaneously record DV images to a CompactFlash card and quality HDV 1080i images to a cassette. With the HDR-Z5E you can therefore create films as either classic videos on DVD or HD videos on Blu-Ray discs.

In terms of sound, the Sony HDR-Z5E comes with a high-quality stereo microphone. In fact, the monaural electret microphone it is supplied with won't disappoint!
