I have had these speakers for more than a year. I have been genuinely impressed. The more they are run in the better the sound gets. I am using them with a 50" pioneer plasma screen that has SRS processing and a Sky HD box mostly but sometimes a Denon Bluray player. We watch films and listen to MTV. They fill the room (about 13ft square), deliver a rich, well balanced sound that handles quiet and loud passages adroitly. They create a good stereo image with enough scale for a 50" screen if you toe them out a bit. They even do a creditable job of creating a virtual surround field. I am used to a high end 7.1 home theatre system in a 25ft square room so I am not easily pleased but I just haven't bothered to set it up because we have genuinely felt no lack of enjoyment. My only notes are these: they good for small rooms / near field listening. I would not want to tax them in a large room. They create a really good sound field and they are loud but dont expect them to shake internal organs like a dedicated home theatre system. And they are tall with a high centre of gravity so they need blu tack or something to keep them steady.	+ Really good sound once run in. I was so excited having done a lot of research, i was not disappointed with the fantastic looks, the glossy black is a great upgrade to the dull silver although it shows dust. The sound blew me away, all you can hear is fantastic sound and heavy, pure base, the buzzing that people talk about is rubbish, they have just been given faulty products. This fault has been fixed. Fantastic all round speakers and I would highly recommend to anyone who is in 2 minds about buying laptop speakers.	+ great base, defined highs and deep mediums	- cable slightly short	03/01/2012	9 out of 10
