The award-winning Canon EOS 1000D Digital SLR Camera Body integrates much of Canon's most advanced technology into an affordable, entry-level camera, including the powerful DIGIC III image processor and the EOS Integrated Cleaning System - to keep the sensor free of dust and saving on laborious post-processing work.

This 10.1 mp camera is an ideal purchase for anyone wanting to move up from a compact camera, and will provide a marked increase in both image quality and creative possibilities! Focusing is performed via a 7-point wide area, enabling ultra-fast AF with hyper-sensitive central point focusing to enable well focused pictures in low light levels.

The 1000D also boasts a 2.5" LCD screen with Live View mode, which enables you to take photos in situations where it's difficult to use the viewfinder, such as at low levels or awkward angles. You can also photograph fast action pictures with the help of 3fps continuous shooting (until the memory card is full).

Compatible with the complete range of EF/EF-S lenses, Speedlite EX flash units and EOS system accessories, the Canon EOS 1000D Digital SLR Camera Body also comes supplied with ZoomBrowser EX and ImageBrowser software, as well as the very highly rated Canon DPP program for top-quality RAW file processing.
