Canon's Digital Ixus 990 IS lets you take phenomenal photos. This ultra-compact camera lives up to the reputation of the Ixus range, renowned for its combination of style and technology.

As well as having an optical image stabiliser, the 990 IS boasts a 12-megapixel sensor, allowing you to make large copies of your photos without any loss in detail. The Digital Ixus 990 IS also includes a 5x optical zoom and an AF face detection mode with subject tracking for crisp, well-exposed snaps.

The newest feature on the 990IS is Canon's intelligent auto mode. Thanks to this function, you don't need to select any specific settings as the camera will do it for you while analysing the scene in front of you.

When it comes to videos, the Digital Ixus 990 IS has everything it takes to record great high definition clips in resolutions of 1280 x 720 pixels at a rate of 30 frames per second. You'll even be able to watch back your work on any HD TV, as the Digital Ixus 990 IS has HDMi connectivity.
