D-Link DAP-1522 Wireless-N Duo Ethernet Bridge/Access Point

I am using a D-Link DSL-2740B wireless N router and connected the DAP-1522 to this as a wireless bridge to provide network access to some of my wired devices like Blue Ray player, TV etc. The intial setup was not straight forward and found using static IP addressing to be the most succesful setup. It's been in for a few days now and all working great. I stream my iTunes to my AV AMP and the sound is great as well as no blips in the transmition. Great product but make sure you know what your doing with setup.

It works fine. I use it to stream Video and Music to an WD TV Live in my living room.

Reception in my living room is bad, due to water storage tanks and such. I know this problem from using laptops there and trying several routers from different brands (Netgear, Belkin). In the end, a D-Link DIR-655 was the only one allowing Video-IP-telephony, albeit that router does not use the new 5Mhz.

The DAP-1522 manages 20Mbps at 38% signal strength there in bridge mode, which is good enough for my purpose.

NEGATIVES:
- The manual says connect DAP-1522 directly to PC to configure. This did not work, as the DAP-1522 does not run a DHCP in its factory state with the v1.0 firmware. It cost me quite some time until I realized this and simply plugged it into my existing network to configure it. After updating the firmware, everything seems fine.

- Cannot access NTP-server for its internal clock (used for logs, schedules), unlike other D-Link devices I have.

- In bridge mode, an annoyingly bright orange LED is flashing permanently if everything is ok.
