VITAMIN B12 or COBALAMIN.
Vitamin B12 or Cobalamin, in collaboration with vitamin B9 and B6, are necessary to the coversion of homocysteine in methionine. If vitamin fails, homocysteine
accumulates itself in the blood. An elevated rate of homocysteine is responsible for cerebrovascular problems. On top of that, methionine seems necessary to the
production of myelin, a substance which isolates our nerves.
When homocysteine accumulates itself in the blood, methionine isn't synthesized and the nervous transmission alters itself. Vitamin B12 transforms a form of folic acid in another, which is necessary to the production of ADN and ARN. If there's a lack of B12, the folic acid can't be transformed and the AND can't be synthesized. This one has a crucial importance for the production of red blood cells. A lack of B12 results in the red blood cells becoming abnormally big.
