loaded with the latest technologies, including an ecoRoute feature, Bluetooth
connectivity and lane guidance.
EcoRoute calculates a more fuel-efficient route, meaning you
can make some great savings. It also gives you an overview of how many miles
you cover, how much petrol you consume and just how much carbon dioxide your
vehicle releases back into the atmosphere. Readings can be taken on a monthly or annual
basis.
The nüvi 1390-T boasts a Text-to-Speech mode and
Junction View for help at upcoming turns. Its 4.3-inch screen makes it easy
to read directions, while the sound and visual alerts tell you when
you're going too fast and warn you when there's a speed camera ahead.
Garmin's nüvi 1390T is even supplied with a
TMC receiver, and it's ideal for use in and out of the car.

The ultra-thin, widescreen nüvi 1390T is a feature-packed navigator for Europe, including the U.K. and Ireland. It has Lane Assist and junction view for supreme route awareness. It includes Bluetooth wireless technology for hands-free phone calls, pan-European premium traffic alerts and ecoRoute to calculate a more fuel-efficient route. It also is compatible with the optional cityXplorer download to get you around on foot or public transport, and you even can add City Guides to make the most of your time in town.

Nüvi 1390T's widescreen, but slim pocket design, means you can take it anywhere. Use it to its full potential by downloading cityXplorer to navigate selected cities via trains, tubes or buses as well as on foot. Traffic Alerts
Not every traffic service is equal. With Garmin you'll always know what lies ahead. And it's subscription-free, for life. Based on Trafficmaster data, there is extensive coverage of the road network (100% on motorways in England, Scotland and Wales). Previously owned a Garmin 610T, it began to give trouble so after research I decided to replace it with this 1390T unit. I am delighted with it, the slim size is an attraction, but where it gets 10 out of 10 from me is the start up speed, it seems to locate the relevant satelites almost immediatedly and from a cold start up this is important to me, when in a strange area it has a signal in under a minute rather than driving miles with the old unit before found it's location.

Although I have only so far used the Garmin for a couple of journeys, I am very pleased with it. It is very easy to use, and the road layouts are displayed very clearly so that it is obvious which road you need to take. This was a replacement for an old sat nav which would not even allow entry of postcodes. I only wish that I had upgraded before. Worth every penny. |
