therefore comfortable to wear.

If you don't want active noise cancelling phones, but want some isolation from ambient noise, then you will be looking at closed back phones. Some closed back phones sound boxed in, but not these, so that they are easy to listen to for long periods - besides the fact they are also very comfortable.
