packaged software is alright, editing by the free GIMP highly recommended, why bother with Adobe CS .

This camera is good in both aspects, form the novice to the profecinal, any one can use this. I went from a compact camers to the sony alfa,it was so easy to use. The instructions are user friendly. This camera is a must have for anyone.

as a hardworking father of 3 i struggled to justify the purchase of a £700 toy. eventually after producing 20 years of memories to my wife, i won the day and became the proud owner of a sony A100.
Within 4 hours of delivery i was a master of the camera , and that is not an exageration.
The bracketed WB,Exposure and Warmth is a dream(i didnt know what that meant till i bought the camera either....).
Buy a 2GB Extreme card and then it doesnt matter if you know what you are doing, read the instructions and have another go... simple.
i have taken over a hundred pictures and the camera is still fully charged.
take the plunge and you will love this camera for years...
