I am a mechanical engineer - bought this set and really like it, its probably paid for itself already as all the work on my car has been done using this avoidong hefty garage bills. The 1/4" ratchet and sockets are very handy for getting in and around the fiddly components however not ideal for any rusted studs/bolts as i'm not sure how much force can be exerted without breaking them, the 1/4" drive looks quite fragile (as you would expect). To make this set complete a 3/8" drive ratchet and some sockets would have been great and less of the 1/4" stuff, along with another couple of spanners bigger sizes. Other than that I'm very happy with it, will most definately get you out of a bind when required - recommended buy. |
