This is a great little performer and for the money is just fantastic value.

I live in London and of course the spare frequencies on the FM spectrum are at a premium as there is many official stations and in the part of London (West) I live in there is also many pirate stations, However this transmitter had no problems and produced a good stong signal.

I unboxed the product and popped in the free DURACELL batteries and as a test connected it to my PC via the headphone socket, I fired up Windows Media Player and put on some tunes and the Belkin switched its self on. For simplicity I tuned the Belkin to 106.0 and switched on my home stereo system and tuned that to 106.0 too and in nice clear FM Stereo I could hear my music. As my stereo is nearly 30 feet from my PC I was very impressed.

But get this, When I switched off the Belkin my home stereo started playing another radio station. So not only did the Belkin have enough power to put out a stereo signal for nearly 30 feet but it also had enough power to give a strong enough signal to block out the other station and I could not detect any bleed through from the other station.

As a further test I connected the Belkin to my phone that has a built in MP3 player (Motorola V3im) and played a Podcast. This time I used a portable radio to recieve the signal and again there was no problems.

As I was now recieving the signal on a portable radio I decided to move around to test the Belkin's limits. I found that the belkin gives a better signal if it has clear line of sight with distances over about 15-20 foot and if someone walked in between the Belkin and the radio it would suffer from some crackle.

With distances below about 15 feet the Belkin had no problems in any capacity.

Being a bit of a cheapskate I opted for the standard delivery option but from point of order to when I recieved my Belkin was little over 72 Hours, Well done Pixmania.

The Belkin did actually perform better than what I had expected and this combined with the service I recieved from Pixmania has made me one very happy customer.

Thanks Pixmania

Good power, Works well and a fantastic price.

Would be better if it came with rechargable batteries.
