Samsung has cleverly equipped the ST500 with a 1.5-inch front screen - something that no other manufacturer has ever done before!

Besides its front screen, the ST500 boasts a number of modes that make taking photos a breeze. These include several programmes for self-portraits, a function for snaps of children, and a countdown timer that attracts the attention of your subjects and prepares them for group shots.

Automatic face detection and a host of integrated scene modes select the most appropriate settings, depending on shooting conditions. Meanwhile, the ST500's dual optical and digital image stabiliser corrects blur caused by camera shake. 

The rear screen on Samsung's ST500 is equipped with state-of-the-art, touch-controlled technology and measures 8.9cm in size, making it ever so simple to line up your camera in relation to the scene.

What's more, an HD video mode is available on the Samsung ST500, so you can take your first steps in the world of digital recording.
