In addition to its 10.2-megapixel CMOS sensor, the Cyber-shot DSC-HX5V by Sony includes a 25 mm wide-angle lens, which is ideal for landscape shots. This camera also has a 10x optical zoom for perfect close-ups. 

With the DSC HX5V, you get extremely high sensitivity and an optical image stabiliser too, meaning you're guaranteed great results without using the flash, even in low lighting conditions. Motion detection technology helps to prevent blur, while the integrated GPS receiver records the location and direction of every snap you take, enabling you to map your memories. 

That's not all though! The DSC-HX5V is even equipped with an AVCHD video mode and an HDMi socket for viewing graphics on a big, HD TV. 

The DSC-HX5V by Sony packs tip-top technology into a pocket-sized format, and was voted "Best Compact Camera" at the 2010 TIPA awards.
