I have been looking for a good shower radio for some time. There is not much available, either cheap and nasty novelty shower radios in the shape of a fish for a tenner or some really nice radios at over £60, which I think is too much to pay for a FM radio. After searching the Internet, I came across the Philips AE2330 at a realistic price, Based on my previous experience of Philips's products I took a chance and bought one from Pixmania and was not disappointed. The radio has good reception (BBC Radio 4) and produces more than enough volume for a small bathroom. Build quality is good and it looks like it belongs in the bathroom, without needing to look like a fish or penguin. It has a convenient removable handle, which I use to hang it in the shower. The only minor negative point is that it has about half a metre of thin wire hanging from it that acts as an antennae, however I assume without this the reception quality would be reduced. |
