The improved efficiency of the Maxtra cartridge also works in reducing the presence of chlorine that often affects the taste and smell of tap water. These cartridges also retain the aluminium contained in tap water and other heavy metals sometimes found in water such as copper or lead, as well as pesticides and organic impurities.
