The HTS8100's loudspeakers and subwoofer combine all the latest innovative technologies from Philips to give you a unique home cinema experience. It was even voted "European Home Theatre Compact System" for 2007-2008 by the EISA (European Imaging and Sound Association)!
This device uses 5.1 Dolby Surround sound and Ambisound technology to produce multi-channel surround sound no matter the size or shape of your living area. Designed to fit in with any interior decor, the HTS8100 will plunge you into the heart of the action of your favourite films and TV programmes. This Home Cinema includes dome tweeters for incredibly pure sound.  The speakers themselves are located on either side of a DVD/DivX player which produces video images in 1080p via oversampling. In effect, the HTS8100 is equipped with an HDMI output and DCDi technology by Faroudja to improve picture quality for clear, precise images. With its sophisticated design, the HTS8100 Home Cinema is ideal for flat-screen TV owners and cinema fans alike.
