This stabiliser equals 3-grain diaphragms to compensate for any blurring effects, lack of sharpness in image due to vibrations in the device or whilst using it in slow functions. The zoom EFS 17-85 mm integrates a double aspherical lens ensuring excellent contrast and perfect definition on both sides of the image. This system optimizes precision of flash exposure once associated with the Speedlite EX range flash. It comes with the CANON EF-S mount exclusive to Canon SLRs EOS 20D and EOS 300D.

When new this is a brilliant lens. Sharp images and fantastic wide to telephoto range. I'm on to my second one of these lenses on my 40D, the first accumulated small particles of dust between the elements and the second one has done the same over a period of a year. I will probably buy another one but wish this problem didn't occur. I am a professional photographer and do not work in dusty conditions. When not in use I keep the camera/lens combination in a sealed airtight bag but this doesn't seem to help.
