Customers' opinions on Nokia 2760 grey

There are a few features missing/negatives with this phone but they are null and void as this is a medium range phone and you would not expect them anyway. I am even more impressed with this phone than the previous gentleman as I find I can see the time on the closed phone when the light goes out by just tilting it a little. Nokia have done it again, highly recommended.

Can't find any!

All the basics are done well on this one. Call quality is generally good - not the best ever, but well up there. Similarly the main screen is OK - again, not the sharpest or highest resolution, but generally pretty good. The external LCD isn't very visible without its stylish blue backlight, but again this is fairly normal - a return to the old yellow-green displays would actually be a bit of an improvement on these! Annoyingly there seems to be a timeout on the external LCD so it stops displaying the time after it's been closed a while, which doesn't seem like it's really necessary.

Feature-wise it's got Java, Bluetooth, web, email and all the other usual mid-range goodies. Also FM radio, although this needs the hands-free headset/mic plugged in for an aerial so is of limited use.

It's only a mid-range phone so it's not got huge memory - it won't replace your iPod. Sadly this also means the voice recorder is limited to 1 minute a time, which means it also won't replace your dictaphone. Also the camera is fairly low resolution, but again you wouldn't want huge pictures or you'd run out of memory pretty fast.

The best part about it is the mechanical side though. Number one is the clamshell-ness. Too few phones seem to be clamshell these days, but it's the *only* design of phone you can safely carry in your pocket and not end up with a scratched-and-unusable screen from your keys and pocket change. Candy-bars and sliders only work if you're a girl who carries a handbag - girls without handbags and all blokes *need* a clamshell. Number two is the keypad, which are nicely profiled with a lip at the bottom and curving away at the top, so that unlike the Razr for example you're never in any doubt as to what key you're pressing. The case is plastic, not metal, but it's certainly tough enough.

All this trades off against the price, of course - and it is a bit of a steal really. Frankly I love it. It's not trying to be a bling fashion accessory, it's just trying to be a damn good phone. And it succeeds - you're getting mid-range quality for a low-end price. Buy it now.

All the basics done well, long battery life, very good keypad. And a clamshell.

Short on memory, perhaps? Timeout on external LCD. Also only a low-end camera.
