The PowerShot G9 is taking over from the legendary PowerShot G7. This superb camera has improved performances and the best Canon technology for even better quality pictures. For example, it has a high-capacity sensor with 12 million effective pixels and a powerful 6x optical zoom. You can take large format shots with the G9 yet still capture the tiniest details in incredible colour, thanks to DIGIC III processing. You don't need to worry about camera shake when you're framing a shot because the G9 has an optical image stabilisation system that compensates for movement and eliminates blur; along with 1600 ISO sensitivity, this system means your pictures turn out sharp and rich in colour, even in low-lighting conditions.
The G9 is easy to use, and its design is based on the user-friendliness of traditional cameras. You can adjust the ISO sensitivity settings on this camera, and the LCD screen has been enlarged to 3", allowing you to monitor all your shots before and after taking them. It even has a traditional optical viewfinder. With all this, you'll want to take the PowerShot G9 with you everywhere you go!
