Building on the success of
the Real 3D W1, Fuji presents the FinePix Real 3D W3: a digital
compact camera that can shoot 3D still images and record 720p HD video.
Like its predecessor, the FinePix
Real 3D W3 boasts two 10-megapixel CCD sensor and two
lenses, which record two separate images corresponding to what each eye sees. Next,
the W3's 3D Real Photo processor analyses the two lots of data
and merges the left and right images into a single 3D image.
The 3.5-inch LCD display on
the FinePix Real 3D W3 is significantly larger
than the one on the W1, and there's a light control system to produce clear 3D
pictures without the need for special glasses.
And that's not all! The Real
3D W3 has plenty more to offer. In fact, this camera
can capture the same scene with two different exposure settings, so you can
choose the result you prefer. And you can switch from 3D to 2D with the push of
a button at the back of the camera.

Bought this in March 2011. Some people can't stand looking at the 3D on the camera's screen but those who can are amazed. Looked at buying Fuji's 3D photoframe, but expensive compared to a 3D TV. Bought 3D Samsung D6100 TV instead. 3D and 2D material brilliant when linking camera to TV using HDMI. Even better still Cyberlink have added 3D capability to PowerDirector. 3D AVCHD discs with added titles and music are just wow! Panasonic's latest 3D Blu-Ray players play MPO (3D photo format) as well as 3D AVCHD and 3D Blu-ray. I have the 110 model. On TV the 3D is up/down left/right as well as front back - amazing! Only gripe as far as the camera is concerned is the short battery life on each charge, which I put down to the large screen and effectively 2 cameras in one. Had some 3D prints done by Fuji - not impressed with them all. |
