I have a Dell Inspiron 1300 laptop and the sound wouldn't function at al. After many nights of removing drivers and reinstalling them to get the sound working i gave up and looked for another solution. After reading results on the internet the only work around was usb speakers, i looked at a lot of products from big brand names but all too expensive.
