I had this hard drive for about a year and while it worked it was great. It was very easy to use, just hook it up to the usb and it was very easy to access and navigate, no need for any extra software etc. It is very small and portable which is great, but even though I treated mine with a great deal of care the outer shell is quiet pliable and although it was never dropped or mishandled the casing warped and came away from the edge. A while after that happened it would not connect to the computer anymore (ie. when I plugged it in the computer did not read it or recognise it). I brought it to a technician who tried to retrieve the data but it died completely half way through the recover meaning I lost everything. Given that I treated the product with great care I found this very disappointing given that the whole purpose of an external hard drive is back-up, when you're back up lets you down that's a real pain. However on this website there seems to be a 2 year warranty so that helps. |
