ARCHOS Archos 70 Internet Tablet - 8 GB

Amazing. I was at first sceptical when you could buy a tablet with this many functions at such a low price but it provides in every single way. Out of the box the start up is quick and all the settings are easy to follow. Once you are connected to the wifi it will set the time and date and instantly look for updates, which will be updating to Froyo 2.2. Once this is installed it gives you access to flash, which opens up the full web experience.

The screen is clear and bright and very responsive. As with android devices there are 5 home screens which from left to right are 1: Music, 2: System info, toggles (bluetooth, wifi, screen brightness) 3: main screen (apps) 4: Video and option for Tv Out, 5: Blank (Which you can add widgets, shortcuts or folders to). Everything is customisable so you can change how you want it.



Installing the Android Market place is easy and makes this device even better. The internet is very easy to use and quick. Video plays back without a stutter and is of brilliant quality, even none high def material. The speakers are very loud and good however some disturbance is noticed at top volume. Overall the device is very good looking and will get people interested owing to its design, price, ease of use and overall experience.

Having use the Archos 5 and Archos 7, I have to say the Archos 70 is outstanding allowing mobile freedom. The streaming ability for watching movies, TV programs is excellent with it only finding it difficult to keep up on a small few HD movies. I love the fact that I can move it around the house with me so that I carry on with what ever I am watching or googling. At the moment its price makes it affordable, a wonderful present.
