I upgraded from my aging Athlon 64 X2 3.1gig and the difference is amazing. Processor on Windows index changed from 6.2 to 7.5 without overclocking.

I was wondering that either I should get this or i7, This is a great buy for money. Overclocked to 4.5 GHz and in bios temp run around 39-42 on idle with a cooler master 212. A great buy for money! |

For the money I don't think this CPU can be beat at the moment (especially @Pixi's prices). Mated to a decent P67 board (mines the Asus P8P67 Pro) this CPU rocks! A simple tweek in the EFi Bios (Using a mouse of all things) and this CPU can be took to 4+ Ghz on air easily (replace that poo cooler that comes with it, in my opinion)

Value, ease of installation (no pins to bend AMD, faster too!), unlocked multiplier 4+ GHz easily obtained on air. |

Cooler and fan that comes with it sucks, spend another £20 or so pounds and get some proper air. |
