Avoid traffic jams!

Top-left-pic

Everyone agrees: cars have an ever more important role to play in our day-to-day life and our roads are becoming more congested every day. The consequences of this are:
- difficulty getting from one place to another
- journey times that can't be planned ahead
- our nerves being put to the test

Get all the latest traffic information and be informed immediately of accidents directly on your TomTom!

Thanks to the RDS/TMC receiver from TomTom, you can access traffic information in real time(obstructions, traffic jams, road works, accidents, weather alerts, etc.) anywhere in France, 24 hours a day. As soon as a traffic problem is detected by the receiver, information about the problem will be automatically displayed on the screen of your TomTom and it will suggest a different itinerary, allowing you to drive with maximum comfort and peace of mind!

How does it work?

The RDS/TMC receiver from TomTom employs the technology of TMC (traffic message channel), which diffuses traffic information in real time. Traffic information is collected from different sources, automatically put together and diffused over the radio waves on your TomTom.

Ease of use

On the screen of your TomTom, disturbances on the road are shown using clear and user-friendly pictograms! You get precise, extensive information about blocked roads, closed off lanes, rain and road works.
