The Wii is one giant step for man in the video
game domain thanks to its revolutionary remote and its innovative games.
The Remote Control:
The Wii remote has highly responsive commands. Up
to four Wiimotes can be connected to the console simultaneously. Plus, the
Wiimote and the Nunchuk controller can be hooked together and both include
motion detectors. The Wiimote also has an in-built speaker, a vibration
function, an expansion slot and a power switch. A multidirectional controller
and A, B, Select, Home, 1 and 2 buttons are available on the Wiimote as well. Meanwhile,
the Nunchuk controller is equipped with an analogue joystick and two buttons (C
and Z).
Design:
The Wii has a compact and stylish design that blends
perfectly into your interior. The console can be placed vertically or
horizontally.
Disc compatibility:
The console supports single and dual-layer 12-cm
optical discs, as well as 8-cm Nintendo GameCube discs.
Internet:
The Wii can be linked up to the internet even when

IEEE802.11b/g connectivity and a USB 2.0 local-network adapter are available

Games for Nintendo 64, Super Nintendo and the renowned NES can be
downloaded onto the Wii. The Virtual Console also handles games for Sega
Megadrive and TurboGrafx (a console developed by NEC and Hudson).

The Wii includes 512 MB RAM, two USB 2.0 ports and an integrated WiFi
adapter. An SD memory card slot is also onboard for an instant memory boost.
Processor:
The Wii has a "PowerPC" processor, manufactured
using 90nm SOI CMOS technology, which was produced by IBM.
Other Characteristics:
Four GameCube controller ports and two GameCube
memory card slots are incorporated in this console. The Wii is also equipped
with a multiple SCART, composite and S-video AV output.
